I’m stuck in a rut…

They say the first step of moving forward is acceptance. But in my case, acceptance just gives me more reasons to stand still, do nothing and stay in my mess.

I’ve been feeling out of it these couple weeks, I completely shut down all my regular tasks and I am using this newsletter as an outlet to rant cause my brain is struggling to come up with something uplifting or funny this week.

Lately, I’ve only had the desire to sleep, eat, scroll through TikTok, watch shows on Netflix and renew my data subscription. Simple tasks that should come easy have been so tiring for me and right now I’m just struggling.

NYSC camp gave me an excuse to BE and turn off my data, in an attempt to shut out the “world” plus, the ongoing election saga also gave me another excuse to focus solely on the issue/rigging going on and leave my regular work schedule and activities locked away in a closet.

I know the things I should be doing, in fact if I had started them weeks ago, by now I’d have been able to analyse their successes and failures.

But my mind has been moving slow and time has been moving fast so right now I just really need to get my life together.

I’m trying to- do lists, self care and intentionally forcing myself to get off the bed and do my stuff. So far, last week’s attempt was laughable but today was a win, thankfully.

Hopefully, things get better this week.

Movies I Watched this week.

1. Gilmore Girls: I’m late to be party but I’ve been loving it so far. I’m binge watching and I am currently in episode 11 of season one. If you’re looking to relax and just chill, this is a series for you.

2. Breaking Bad: This series was also recommended to me and I’m loving it😂. A 50 year old chemistry teacher finds out that he’ll soon kick the bucket so he teams up with a junkie and starts cooking crystal meth. If you’re looking for something to watch, it’s definitely worth it.
