A Blast From The Past
…
This week was dealt with complicating emotions.
From career choices to Tinubu & Dollar rate, I just wanted to close my eyes, listen to music that I attach to covid era like, Know You
by Ladipoe & Simi or watch old sitcoms and float.
Thinking of solutions was giving me headaches and messing with my mood so on default, I gravitate towards doing ✨NOTHING✨ and drowning myself in the sea of nostalgia.
I rewatched Pretty Woman, Big Bang Theory and recently started Gossip Girl-the drama reminded me of my underlining drama so I switched back to BBT😅.
Now, I want to take myself to see Barbie and try not to cringe when I see Ken.
I find that doing the doing things my brain is familiar with, helps me cool off. And I often times wonder if I’m the only one that feels this way.
If I’m sad, I’d rather watch cartoons or movies I watched when I was a child, then the new blockbuster movie that’s put on cinemas.
Recreating or revisiting childhood memories feels like a warm blanket draped over me while getting a hair massage, BLISS✨
In the spirit of revisiting memories, I revisited some of my favorite newsletters that I’d written to you. I loved writing it and I’m hoping you enjoy reading them too;
The act of kicking the bucket
·This week, a lot has happened and it has been bringing my mind towards the act of kicking the bucket. No, I do not mean suicide, I believe I am mentally stronger than that by the mercies of God, I mean when someone dies or rather, when someone close to you, dies.
I’d love to hear your thoughts and know which was your favorite in the comments.
But, while you decide what letter to choose from, How was your week?
Were you also feeling overwhelmed? Or was it the best week of your life yet?
Let’s connect! I’d love to hear from you.
