2023đ¤Audacity
I finally understand what the baddies mean by this and Iâm 100% for it.
According to the dictionary, Audacity means the willingness to take bold steps/risks. In my opinion it means, I know my worth and if you donât appreciate it, kindly get out.
The first time I read a tweet on new yearâs talking about audacity, was when a lady tweeted on how sheâs going to have so much audacity in 2023. I scrolled past cause I felt like she wanted this year to be fire for fire a.k.a violence but now?!?!? Now I concur a 100%.
Audacity gives self confidence a shoulder to lean on because, the two work hand in hand. When you start having the audacity, like some dudes outchea, youâll realize that many people have used your head to play X & O just because you didnât have the courage to speak up.
If youâre a freelancer, youâll realize youâve been doing âosho freeâ for one too many people in the guise of doing them a favor.
If youâre a creative, audacity looks like tearing your old rate card because yesterdayâs price not todayâs price.
If youâre a business man/woman, audacity is when itâll finally click in your head that setting your price low to the floor, in your detriment, cause of fear of having no customers, cannot and will not pay the bills.
Audacity is what made Asake sell concert tickets for 70k and after all the bashing on Twitter, he still got a full crowd.
Audacity is what makes the hair stylist, Ire, set her prices the way she does.
2023 is the year for leaving mediocrity, knowing your worth and acting accordingly.
Stop underplaying yourself and your worth. Youâve worked hard and youâre slowly becoming the person of your dreams so, why are you acting like all your achievements are like turning the nub of an electric burner?
As Iâm shouting have audacity, donât be deceived. If you cannot talk the talk to back it up, go back inside⌠respectfully.
No one likes someone who can talk but canât do.
Audacity is the aftermath of labour. Of working on yourself and positioning yourself in places mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually, among people that you aspire to be.
Audacity is aiming for steady growth everyday because the only place you can go from here is up.
So when you are finally walking the walk, then you talk.
Audacity isnât only about knowing your worth and upping your prices. Audacity is also about borrowing the courage from wherever to finally chase the dreams youâve perfectly curated on your vision board.
Letting go of things holding you back in order to achieve the life you dream of.
It is accepting the cringe and telling your haters to kiss your a$$ because caring about what âtheyâ say is so last year.
Take a dose of Audacity today. Affirm yourself that good things, outcomes and opportunities will forever be attracted to you.
